Law enforcement and security in the Empire can be divided into two main areas. There are also a small number of other security and police forces which lie outside these two chains of command which are controlled by various departments and offices.

As such the Police comes under the Lithuanian Ministry for Public Security and the Polish Ministry for Public Security which also control the fire brigade. Both the Lithuanian and Polish forces also have their own Commissioner of Police who reports to the Minister of Public Security and controls the day to day running of the force.
